We are also witnessing a generation of rapid technological changes\, and child protection systems need to respond accordingly. We need data approaches that reflect the opportunities and challenges of our new hyper-digital world and ensure we safeguard children.

SUMMARY:Launch of the International Classification of Violence Against Children
DESCRIPTION:UNICEF has developed the International Classification of Violence against Children (ICVAC) with inputs from more than 200 experts from national statistical offices\, academia\, and international organizations. The ICVAC was endorsed at the 54th session of the UN Statistical Commission as international statistical standard and was recommended for inclusion in the International Family of Classifications. We are excited that countries now have a tool to assess the extent to which their national definitions on violence against children comply with internationally-agreed standards. It will also help countries ensure that data collection efforts produce comparable data.

SUMMARY:International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics Congress
DESCRIPTION:The ISPO 19th World Congress will offer a high-quality scientific program in Guadalajara\, Mexico. At the same time\, companies from all continents will present their latest products and innovations in the international exhibition. \n\n\n\nThe World Congress theme The Art and the Science brings together two important aspects of prosthetic\, orthotic and mobility care. The Art can refer to elite craftsmanship and clinical experience that is applied when providing appropriate services for assistive technology consumers. Art can also relate to the personalization and artistic aspects of device design that incorporates the user’s personality and feelings\, moving an assistive device beyond just a piece of technology. The Science incorporates innovation\, evidence\, and knowledge translation across the spectrum of prosthetic\, orthotic and mobility services to enable end-users to receive appropriate services at the right time\, the right place\, and the right cost.
