This report summarizes results of: Qualitative analysis (Method 4) of 10 follow-up interviews conducted with women who had called CCPF (“Health Center by Phone”) seeking COVID-19 information while pregnant between June and October 2020. During the June 1 to October 31 period from which calls were sampled, Malawi reported 5,930 confirmed cases of COVID-19. As of January 28, 2021, Malawi has reported 21,660 cumulative confirmed cases. With a growing surge of cases, it is critically important to explore the questions and concerns that Malawians, particularly pregnant women, are having in regards to COVID-19, how it spreads, and how to protect themselves and their families.
