City University of New York Unveils New Mental Health & Psychosocial Support Knowledge Hub
Mental health care and psychosocial support (MHPSS) interventions are commonly used by non-governmental and humanitarian organizations in challenging settings to improve psychosocial wellbeing and mental health. While there is growing evidence on the importance of a continuum of MHPSS service options, there is a need to strengthen the evidence base on their effectiveness across multiple humanitarian contexts.
The City University of New York’s Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Knowledge Hub is a global platform for generating, synthesizing, and disseminating research, innovations, and advocacy efforts related to the promotion and protection of the mental health and psychosocial wellbeing of populations living in trauma-impacted communities. The purpose of the hub is to advance the evidence base for MHPSS programming design and implementation and accelerate data liberation and evidence-to-use processes related to community-level MHPSS interventions for long-term system and population impact.
