The Lancet Elevates Implementation Science

On its 10th anniversary, the Lancet Global Health signals a major shift in perspective by declaring,  “We believe it is time to create more space for implementation science in global health journals because we need the science of delivery (of evidence-based interventions) as much as the science of discovery.”  The Lancet Global Health offers itself as a ‘platform for implementation science’ and ‘aims to prioritise implementation research with high practical utility, is theoretically informed (or better, theoretically informative), and has impactful outcomes that benefit communities in accordance with their own wants and needs.’  To read the full article, “Implementing implementation science in global health,” published in the December 2023 issue click here.
